Amazon.com is in need of hundreds of more workers for its Hebron warehouse operations.

Staff Management | SMX, the firm that hires temporary employees for Amazon (Nasdaq: AMZN), is working to hire more than 500 temporary workers in the coming weeks.

Recruiting Manager Samantha Truong said the company already has supplied more than 500 workers for the online retailers since the year began, and the pace isn’t expected to slow.

“We’ve been here for over five years and this has been a constant recruitment,” she said.

The company has 968 employees currently working with Amazon in Hebron.

Staffing for the warehouse operation typically picks up in the summer months and continues strong through the holidays until the end of December, Truong said.

She said the positions will be “your typical picking and packing” warehouse jobs. “You’re going to be lifting 49 pounds, you’re going to be on your feet all day,” she said.

Employees hired through Staff Management are eligible to work up to 1,200 hours alongside Amazon’s workforce but are considered temporary and managed by the vendor on premises.

Applicants must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check as well as provide a proof of education such as a high school diploma or GED to be considered for the positions.

Prospective employees can begin the application process online at apply.smjobs.com using job code 203S. An in-person interview will be required and applications can also be submitted to Staff Management in the office at 1960 North Bend Road in Hebron from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
